FIFA 23 World Cup Update Releases Next Week
FIFA 23 World Cup update will officially arrive on November 9 across all platforms for free. EA Sports shared a new trailer from the anticipated update, detailing the new content that you should expect from the World Cup event in Ultimate Team and other game modes.
We are less than a month away from the world’s biggest football tournament as World Cup 2022 will kick off in Qatar later this month. EA Sports had already confirmed that a World Cup update would be available for FIFA 23, but now you can have your first look at this anticipated update.
According to the trailer, the new update will add a dedicated World Cup Tournament game mode with its own menu. This will allow access to a number of single-player and multiplayer modes. The FIFA World Cup 2022 mode will allow players to experience the entire World Cup as one of the qualified teams in the tournament from the group stage to the finals as a single-player mode. In the Online Tournament, you can experience the knockout stage of FIFA World Cup 2022 in a matchmaking-based environment, where you get to choose one of the qualified teams and play against other players to make your way to the finals.
If your nation has not qualified for FIFA World Cup 2022, there is still room for you to enjoy the tournament in FIFA 23. The World Cup update has designed 15 additional nations for World Cup that have not qualified for the tournament in real life. You can go ahead, and replace these teams with the qualified ones to create your own World Cup.
FIFA World Cup: Live is the final mode in the dedicated World Cup hub that will allow you to experience the tournament with real-life tables and results. This will allow you to choose any of the current or past matches and replay them to get a different result. You will be able to play these matches with AI, a local friend, or an online friend.
When it comes to Ultimate Team, there won’t be a dedicated mode this time around, however, the World Cup content, including new kits, stadium designs, objectives, and player items based on the tournament will be available for your regular FUT experience.
Last but not least, the developers will add two official World Cup 2022 stadiums to the game with the upcoming update on November 9, including the stadium that will host the finals.
