Earning the approval of Shaxx during Into The Light will result in new weapons and access to his various crates around his room. To do this, you will have to grind out certain weapon quests. The Edgelord quest in Destiny 2 requires a lot of kills with a Heavy Grenade Launcher. However, there is a way to cheese it.
To complete the Edgelord quest in Destiny 2, you will need to either rack up rapid kills or just get regular kills with the Heavy Grenade Launcher. Extra points are rewarded for Onslaught. So, we’re going to go for rapid kills in Onslaught to cheese the Edgelord quest in Destiny 2.
Weapon choice is all important when completing the Edgelord Destiny 2 quest. You’ll need a Heavy Grenade Launcher with good splash damage, a decent well of ammo, and a fast reload time. A rapid kill is one that is achieved within two seconds of another, so the quicker, the better.
Look for Heavy Grenade Launchers with certain traits that boost both damage and reload speed to ensure you’re always firing. I would recommend both Explosive Light and Clown Cartridge, as these both worked for me. However, anything with area damage is great. Another favourite to look out for is Chain Reaction. We’re going to want to rack up a lot of kills to complete the Edgelord challenge in Destiny 2.
Explosive Light is an amazing trait that gives 60% increased explosive damage to Grenade Launchers when Orbs of Light are picked up. You can find this trait in the Regnant. Clown Cartridge can randomly reload the cartridge with between 10% to 50% more ammo. I used the Tarnation with this perk to keep myself firing into the lower-level enemies.
Onslaught is the perfect game mode to get a ton of rapid kills in Destiny 2. The enemies you will want to focus on with your Heavy Grenade Launcher are the Thralls that spawn around the map. Take your focus away from the heavies, and look for the groups of weaker enemies.
Using your Heavy Grenade Launcher, aim for the midst of the groups, unloading your grenades into them. The splash damage of the grenades will quickly rack up rapid kills and, due to it being Onslaught, will count for more points towards the Destiny 2 Edgelord quest.
When the heavy bosses come around every ten levels, it’s time to be a bad team mate. If you really want to complete Edgelord quickly in Destiny 2, ignore them, and seek out the Thralls spawn point. You can camp in this area and just hammer the weaker enemies with your Heavy Grenade Launcher until it’s time for you to play the team game and secure the ADU.
Completing the Edgelord quest will reward you with those sweet adoration points from Shaxx and get you a little close to dipping your fingers in his chests.
