The excitement for Halo fans is off the charts at the moment, and it is all thanks to Forge. But keep your Spartan armor on, because this list will go over some of the coolest maps made yet in Halo Infinite’s forge.

10/10 Final Destination

1-Halo-Final-Destination

A spiritual remake of the classic Super Smash Bros. map, Final Destination is best played with 2-4 players. Final Destination will see players fight to the death on a way-too-small platform, and it makes for some of the most clutch plays you’ve ever seen in Halo!

What really makes this map special is the fantastic scripting the creator made. All players actually maintain two equipment upgrades: a Repulsor and a grapple hook. All it takes to swap between the two is a simple crouch! Just make sure to keep track of which one is active, because try as you might, the Repulsor isn’t going to save you from falling into the void!

9/10 Get Out Of My House! Infection

2-Halo-Infection-Slide

This map takes that classic infection formula and puts a wild twist on it! Fun House is a very linear map, meaning human players will have an easier time spotting the infected. But that definitely does not mean that winning is easy here…

What makes this map so unique is the slow progressioninto areas ahead. The longer humans survive, the more rooms they will be able to advance into! Meanwhile, the infected have a series of teleporters that simultaneously unlock new locations along with the humans. Play this with your friends, and make sure you stick together! And also, keep an eye out for those cheeky hidden gun spots!

8/10 Eternity

3-halo-eternity-forge

Perhaps the most well-known forge map, Eternity, absolutely deserves a spot on this list. Its visuals are appallingly gorgeous, and its layout rivals those of official halo maps! Eternal’s overall size is ideal for a small group of friends, but sometimes a little bit of chaos can be fun.

To give you an idea of just how good this map is, 343 used Eternity to brag about how powerful Forge’s creation tools are! The map plays particularly wellon classic slayer modes, but is virtually always a blast. Plus, let’s be real, who doesn’t love low gravity?

7/10 Coagulation

4-halo-forge-coagulation

Fans of Halo CE and Halo 2 were no doubt jumping for joy at this one. Coagulation is a 1:1 remake of the original Blood Gulch from Halo CE, and it plays just as well as you remember. Even the aesthetic of the map remains virtually unchanged!

The frantic, chaoticvehicular combat makes for a truly cinematic experience as infantrymen make a mad dash for the other side! On paper, Coagulation should not work as a balanced map but rather as a sniper’s paradise. But that’s just not the case! Something about it is both incredibly nostalgic and radically enjoyable, even for first-time Halo fans.

6/10 Tiny Woods

5-forge-tiny-woods

Tiny Woods drops players in the middle of a larger-than-life backyard. Or perhaps, the Spartans are just extra small this time around! The map is reminiscent of media properties like Toy Story and Grounded, making you feel like an ant in a human’s world.

Tiny Woods plays quite well, but its aesthetic is really what makes it shine. The map is exceedingly detailed, and the massive objects are quite pleasant to look at and fight around. For those who just can’t get enough of Tiny Woods, take some consolation in the fact that the map is a work in progress, and should be receiving new versions soon!

5/10 Peach’s Castle

6-halo-peach-castle

Peach’s Castle is a phenomenal recreation of the Super Mario 64 hub world, featuring a decently faithful recreation of virtually the entire thing! Some changes have been made for the sake of game balance, but it is astonishingly accurate nonetheless!

The map features paintings that actually transport you around the map, cannons to get onto the roof (yes, Yoshi is there,) and the sort-of-new scrap cannon weapon! In all honesty, Peach’s Castle doesn’t play exceedingly welland spawn kills are abundant, but for some reason it just doesn’t matter. This map is undeniably fun.

4/10 Lockout

Yet another legendary map from Halo 2 has been faithfully crafted from the ground up in Halo Infinite’s forge. Lockdown is easily one of the most beloved Halo maps of all time, and after playing just one or two rounds on Forge’s recreation, it is easy to remember why.

The recreation is just as moody and atmospheric as the original, and it is certain to blast long-time halo fans with a wave of nostalgia. Sadly, those clutch super-bounce spots we all exploited in Halo 2 are long gone, butdon’t hesitate to grab some friends and play a few rounds on Lockdown for a guaranteed good time!

3/10 Curfew

8-halo-curfew-map

Curfew is hands down one of the most beautifully crafted Forge maps at the moment. Fighting under the dim glow of neon lights in an abandoned cyberpunk-esque is extremely captivating! Not to mention, the map design rivals that of professionals.

Curfew takes what the core map “Streets” did and multiplies it. Close-range urban combat fits in right alongside those long-rage engagements, meaning that this map is perfect for virtually all playstyles. The only downside is that it can sometimes feel a bit too large for 4v4. But absolutely do give this map a try!

2/10 Waffle House

9-halo-waffle-house

Okay fine, maybe it isn’t exactly a fantastic map to play competitively, but fighting it out in a disturbingly realistic Waffle house is hilarious. Frustration might arise when trying to play this online, sure. But with friends, the pure imbalance on this map is part of the fun!

The inside is a little cluttered, and the parking lot is flat and littered with powerful vehicles, but you have to admit it: the map is somehow perfect at what It’s trying to do. The designer clearly took their time crafting the perfect Waffle House recreation, and any Halo fan should give it a try.

1/10 Duck Hunt

One of the unique games created thus far in forge, Duck Hunt, is very reminiscent of old-school Gary’s Mod! Players are forced to navigate a tricky obstacle course while the opposing team tries to take them out with snipers from hundreds of feet away!

Playing as the “ducks” is extremely difficult, and the odds of making it to the end are slim. However, the skilled Spartan who manages to make it all the way to the end will be granted an energy sword, and the opportunity to finally get back at the enemy for killing all his/her friends. There are tons of variations on this map, and they are all great, so get out there and try them out!
