Fallout 76 is one of Bethesda’s many titles in the Fallout Series. As an MMORPG Fallout 76 is a unique take on the series and has many perk cards for everyone to play their own way.

Some cards stand above others, though. It boils down to gameplay style at the end of the day, but that doesn’t mean some cards aren’t better than others. For every vault-dweller setting out into the world consider these perk cards to improve gameplay.

Food is important when fighting for your life. However, it shouldn’t get in the way of fights. Slow Metabolizer is a perk card that satisfies hunger more easily to almost eliminate the need to fixate on where your hunger bar is at.

Getting this card to Tier 3 is the way to make the best use of it. At 75% additional hunger satisfaction, players can spend less time munching and more time shooting and blowing things up.

9/10 Fix It Good

Are you looking to improve that armor to not be so squishy out in the waste? Fix It Good is the card gamers need. This card has the effect of repairing and improving any type of armor utilized including Power Armor.

Going from 130% at level 1 to 200% at level 3 makes this card a good staple for players to grab in order to get the most out of a good set of duds. Whether crafting a new set or repairing the old trusted loadout, Fix It Good has you back protected longer.

8/10 Traveling Pharmacy

Stimpacks can be a lifesaver. Literally. The only issue is the in-game weight mechanic preventing players from stocking up to the nines on the health buffs. After all, ammo also has weight, and you’ll need both to survive.

Traveling Pharmacy lowers the weight of all chems utilized. Stimpacks, Buffout, RadAway, antibiotics, Med-X, and others are affected by this card’s ability. Tier 1 sees a 30% reduction, but getting the card at Tier 3 will reduce the weight by 90%. That’s a lot more healing when out facing a Deathclaw.

7/10 Ironclad

Power Armor is great. It protects characters by giving them Energy Resistance, but wearing it all the time has some drawbacks. Still, you will need to be able to resist Energy based attacks. That’s where Ironclad comes in.

This perk card will give players up to a 50-point resistance to energy and regular damage when not wearing Power Armor. That 50 extra points to take while also being more agile. Pretty decent trade for not wearing the clumsiness around town.

6/10 Field Surgeon

You’re in the middle of a firefight and need to use a Stimpack to stay alive. In the middle of using it with your health on the rise, an enemy manages to get one last shot off resulting in a game over. Every gamer has been there at one point or another.

Field Surgeon is a perk card that speeds up the use of Stimpacks and RadAways. They will boost your health or cure your radiation faster than normal resulting in fewer chances of being caught by that last stray bullet before your health has time to recover.

5/10 Concentrated Fire

Using V.A.T.S. can be hard when they don’t target where you want them to. Concentrated Fire is here to help fix that. It will allow players to target specific body parts when utilizing V.A.T.S.

On top of focusing on limbs, there is a better chance to hit per shot based on Automatic (4% max) vs Non-Automatic (20% max). Each tier also increases chain shot damage by up to 3%.

4/10 Expert Weapon Damage Cards

Doesn’t matter if you prefer 1-handed melee weapons or non-explosive heavy guns. There is a card for every type of weapon in the game to do more damage. All of them tier in the same way with 1 being 10% more damage, and 3 being 20% more damage. It just depends on what fighting style you lean toward the most.

Expert Gladiator handles 1-handed melee weapons while Expert Heavy Gunner handles non-explosive heavy guns. Expert Slugger is for 2-handed melee but for shotguns pick up Expert Shotgunner. The list goes on.

3/10 Serendipity

Players that have gotten to level 5 can use this card to avoid damage. Based on a little RNG this perk card will boost the chances of damage not landing when players are below a certain threshold.

This card does not work when Power Armor is equipped. The tradeoff of not having Power Armor is pretty nice though. When under 30% health, the character has up to a 45% chance to avoid damage. This can make or break a fight in your favor at a critical moment.

2/10 Increased Ammo Cards

This covers cards that allow players to carry more ammo. Ammo is always a precious resource in the wastes and having enough to keep the enemies down is more than strategy. It’s just good practice.

Bandolier will lower Ballistic type weapon ammo while Batteries Included lowers Energy weapon ammo weight. In this same school of thought is Ordance Express. This will reduce the amount explosives weigh. All of these cards when maxed out give a 90% reduction to the specific ammo weight associated with the card.

1/10 Adrenaline

Most cards only have 1-3 Tiers, but Adrenaline is one of the few that has 5 different tiers to its ability. Gain a percent boost in damage dealt for 30 seconds after a kill, and every time you make a kill this timer resets. The percentage also stacks up to 6 levels, so this can get out of hand quickly.

It makes sense that a card based on the idea of someone doing inhuman feats for a brief time is a powerful card. Players may not be lifting a car to save their baby, but when a wave of enemies is barreling at you, there will be a quickening to your pulse.
