Modern games have continued to innovate in the realm of player choice, and Escape From Tarkov is no exception. While not a full decision-based game like Mass Effect or a Telltale point-and-click adventure, there is still room for players to have a say in what they want to do to influence the game world.
The Supply Plans quest gives players a choice regarding who receives a special package the player is initially sent to retrieve. If players keep themselves a little honest when completing this quest, the Therapist will make it worth their while.
Finding Secure Folder 0052
The Therapist, a medical researcher who is cataloging medical information and testing in the Tarkov region, needs the player’s help in retrieving a secure folder of sensitive documents. This quest will become available to the player after they’ve reached level 13 and have already completed the Pharmacist quest for the Therapist previously. While familiar at face value, the quest is given a tinge of flavor and opportunity upon the player accepting it, in the form of an alternate path.
The player will be given an additional task upon taking the quest called ‘Kind Of Sabotage’, which gives the player the choice to hand off the package to Skier instead of the Therapist. Regardless of which person the player decides to hand the folder to, one or the other will be disappointed, but working for the Skier will branch into a different quest line altogether. For players who stick with the Therapist, the desired folder can be found in a sawmill cabin on the Woods map. Like with most other maps in Tarkov, Woods is wide open and varied in its environment, so players should be wary of enemies when making their way to the cabin.
The cabin is located at the north end of the south-central village at the head of a lake. It is one of three nearly identical rectangular cabins seated near each other, and the one the player will need to find is the furthest on the left, next to some blue outhouses. Heading inside the cabin, players can find Secure Folder 0052 nestled under the folding bed. With the folder secured, players should look around for valuable loot in the area before they head out to make the most of the journey.
Payment, Rewards & Consequences
Upon successful extraction and completing the quest in favor of the Therapist, the player will be rewarded, at a cost. Regardless of which person the player hands the folder off to, the opposing side will lose reputation with the player for siding against them. Players will need to take this into account before deciding which faction to please and which to upset as a result. For completing this quest on the Therapist’s behalf, players will be rewarded with:
- 7,500 EXP
- +0.04 Therapist Reputation
- -0.04 Skier Reputation
- 75,000 – 86,250 Roubles (Intelligence Center Level 0 – Level 2)
- 1 CMS Surgical Kit
