Those who dove into today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase found underwater treasure in the last announcement, as Endless Ocean: Luminous–a new underwater adventure and sequel to 2010’s Endless Ocean: Blue World–served as the anchor for the video.

The three-minute trailer introduces players to the Veiled Sea, an underwater area that changes with every dive. Up to 30 players can explore together via online play, and progress will be shared between those who group together.

The game features over 500 different underwater species able to be discovered, which includes both “mythical” creatures and some thought to be extinct. Some examples shown in the trailer are the Tomato Clownfish, the Long-Spine Porcupinefish, and the Mosasaurus.

Luminous is the third game in the Endless Ocean series of deep-sea diving games, with the first game launching for Wii in 2007 and the follow-up Blue World in 2010. This is not developer Arika’s first scuba-based franchise, however, as the studio also released Everblue and Everblue 2 on the PlayStation 2. The first game was Japan-exclusive, while the second released in February 2003.

Endless Ocean: Luminous launches May 2 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
