Nicola King (played by Nicola Wheeler) collided with Moira Barton’s (Natalie J Robb) Land Rover on Thursday’s instalment of Emmerdale.

The two women were unscathed, but Nicola’s daughter Angel King (Rebecca Bakes) was badly hurt in the crash and taken to hospital where doctors said she will be recovering for months.

Nicola has become blinded by her vendetta against Moira and it looks as though she will stop at nothing to make her life a misery.

In upcoming scenes, a frustrated Jimmy King (Nick Miles) pleads with Nicola to visit her daughter in the hospital.

Nicola later visits the surgery, but doctor Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) says there is no medical evidence to substantiate her claims, leaving her burning with injustice on a warpath for Moira.

Later on, Angel encourages her mother to accept that the car crash was just an accident, but Nicola is unreadable as she decides what action to take.

Nicola continues her war against Moira and won’t stop at her online tirade behind Angel’s back.

Moira soon becomes determined to stop Nicola in her tracks after she discovers her son is being bullied over her culpability for Angel’s accident.

When Moira rocks up at Victoria Cottage threatening to take action against Nicola’s harmful comments, Angel places the blame for the accident on her own mother.

This outburst from Angel completely ostracises Nicola from her family. Will Nicola soon see sense and win them back over?

Fans have been taking to Twitter to blame Nicola for the accident, as they think Moira had the right of way at the time of the crash.

Jay raged: “#Emmerdale winding me up again. The police can clearly see that Nicola pulled out of the junction but blame Moira who had right of way.”

Danni penned: “Omg Nicola telling the police Moira was obviously speeding. You pulled out and couldn’t see what was coming #Emmerdale.” (sic)

Jamie Summers shared: “Nicola pulled out without looking properly. But she’ll play the victim while Moira goes through more hell #Emmerdale.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
