Elden Ring: Zamor Ruins Guide
The Zamor Ruins rewards players with some useful items in Elden Ring, so here’s a guide to help you conquer this place in the game.
The Zamor Ruins are one of the first destinations you will encounter when you make it to Elden Ring’s Mountaintops Of The Giants area. These large and snowy ruins hide some tough enemies and a couple of very useful unique items.
In this guide, we’re going to tell you everything you need to know to conquer the ruins and find the treasure within.
Location
The Zamor Ruins are located just beyond the Grand Lift Of Rold, right at the initial entrance to the Mountaintop Of Giants. The closest Site Of Grace is also called Zamor Ruins. You can find Shabiri standing next to the Site Of Grace, who will give you instructions to achieve the Frenzied Flame ending to the game.
Enemies
There is only one enemy type found in the Ruins, and that is the Knight Of Zamor. These sinister humanoids are very dangerous foes, hitting hard with swords and cold magic. They drop a whopping 5000 runes on defeat but will make you earn every one.
Their main sword attacks are two-hit combos, so you can wait for the second hit to punish them. They also do a single wide-area whirling attack and a slash and backflip that moves them away from you.
Their main cold attack is a frosty breath that will come out as a cone and inflict damage and Frostbite on you while you stand in it. Their other cold spell is a point-blank area-effect knockback that also does damage. Take care that you don’t pull two at once while you are navigating the ruins, as they like to lurk silently in pairs.
Items
There are only three notable items in ruins. Near the entrance on the Site Of Grace side is an Invigorating Cured Meat. This item increases Robustness, which helps prevent Blood Loss and Frostbite, making it useful against the enemies here.
Secondly, located at the top Southerly end of the ruins, in one of the large ruined buildings. There, you’ll see Zamor Ice Storm on a corpse. This is a Cold Sorcery with a high 36 Intelligence requirement, but that deals area-effect damage, pushes enemies and projectiles back, and inflicts Frostbite.
Finally, in a chest in a cellar underneath the ruins, accessible via some steps located at the northwest edge of the ruins, is the Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell-Bearing 3. This item will let you buy Smithing Stones 5 and 6 after you present them to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold.
