EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell panics over secret after Alfie Moon return | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

EastEnders’ Alfie Moon (played by Shane Richie) will return to the Square very soon, much to Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) disappointment.

Alfie took off to Spain after his surgery, and only Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) knew he’d been diagnosed with cancer.

Wanting to hide it from everyone, Alfie decided to go abroad to recover.

Before he left though, he found out Phil had slept with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit).

Official spoilers from the BBC soap reveal Alfie will soon be back in Walford and will head to the hospital with Linda for his PSA results.

Back in the Square, Alfie pales when Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) tears into him for his disappearing act, but she soon softens when Alfie reveals the truth.

Phil is worried about his secret as Kat comforts Alfie at No.55.

Later, Kat and Alfie head to Walford East where Alfie reveals his prostate cancer diagnosis to Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall).

Soon after, Phil accosts Alfie about Emma, but Alfie insists he has no interest in telling Kat given the current situation.

Will Alfie keep to his word about Emma?

It’s no secret Alfie wants Kat back, but in recent months he has come to accept she is now with Phil.

Phil also supported Alfie when he was being tested for cancer, and the two went from enemies to friends.

However, Alfie was appalled by Phil when he found out about Emma.

Could he end up telling Kat the truth?

Perhaps he struggles to hide the secret from his ex and ends up telling her, causing Kat and Phil to break up their years-long relationship.

Could this mean Alfie and Kat will get back together? The pair were once an iconic EastEnders couple, and if they hadn’t broken up they would be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this Christmas after they tied the knot on the big day in The Vic in 2003.

Fans have called for the two to reunite and for Phil to get back together with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) – could this soon happen?

EastEnders continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
