EA To Publish New AAA Hunting Game From Dynasty Warriors Devs

EA officially revealed that it will publish an upcoming triple-A hunting game from Omega Forces, the development team behind phenomenal games such as Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Hyrule Warriors, and Persona 5 Strikers.

Omega Forces is an internal studio of Koei Tecmo, and EA is supposed to provide both publishing and development support for the studio’s new project as a part of its EA Originals plans.

The upcoming project is set in a fantasy version of feudal Japan and is supposed to focus on hunting, which makes it sounds more like a Monster Hunter competitor than anything else.

Currently, there is no release window for this upcoming title, and we don’t even know if it would be a single-player or a multiplayer experience.

In previous years, some incredible indie games have been supported by the EA Originals program, including Hazelight’s It Takes Two that managed to win the Game of the Year award at The Game Awards 2021.

Omega Forces has already worked on numerous projects and the studios is usually focused on developing hack-n-slash variations of well-known IPs in the world. Dynasty Warriors, Warriors Orochi, and Samurai Warriors are some notable video game series developed by this Japanese studio.

The fact that the upcoming game targets to be a hunting experience will probably be something new for the team at Omega Forces. Also, it seems to be a pretty important project for Koei Tecmo as they want to use EA’s resources in the global market to make the upcoming game available for a wide variety of players around the world.

It is yet to be seen when we can get our first look at this upcoming project, but it probably won’t be too long from now.

EA already has a number of projects that are pending official announcement, including a new Need For Speed game that is rumored to be launched later this year as well as a new story-driven campaign experience set in the Battlefield universe that seems to be tied to the next Battlefield title.
