Every week is fashion week in Dress to Impress on Roblox. Thanks to streamers, the multiplayer dress-up game has become a breakout hit online. Now, the game is inspiring fashion in the real world. On social media platforms like TikTok, Dress to Impress has inspired a recent trend where people use the game’s audio to show off their outfits and pose using the game’s emotes.

Dress to Impress is an online game where people compete to create the best outfit based on a theme. In the game, each player struts down a runway to show off their fit and other players vote for their favorites. The overall style of the game can change drastically based on the theme of each round and now, fans in the real world have created a trend inspired by the game.

The videos in the trend borrows that same structure: People use the music from the game to show off their outfits and pose just like their virtual avatars would. The video below shows an example of it. This video, which has been viewed more than 3.2 million times, layers text over the video that says, “theme: going out.” Each person takes a turn posing for the camera as they flaunt their going out look for the camera.

The idea has inspired several variations of people emulating the general joke. A popular gag in each video is people hit the “Pose 28,” which is a popular emote in the game where the character stands with their legs wide and stick out their hips. It looks goofy and you can scroll down to see some examples of it.

Personally, I loved the people who did the trend and attended New York Fashion Week this year.

Overall, it’s a cute trend that blends the game and its world, with the joy of getting dressed up. So now everyone can feel confident posing in the mirror as they figure out the dress-up theme for each day of their life.
