Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Where To Find The Nameless Village

There are several settlements that you visit throughout the course of the campaign in Dragon’s Dogma 2. However, some of them are shrouded in mystery, at least until you reveal their true purpose. Here’s our guide on where to find the Nameless Village location in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Where is the Nameless Village in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The Nameless Village is located all the way to the east of Vernworth. The aptly named quest that leads you to it, however, might have certain requirements. In our case, we had already completed several objectives given by Commander Brant, such as The Caged Magistrate and the Stolen Throne masquerade. When we asked Brant about the False Sovran, he mentioned an interesting location that we should visit.

Journeying from Vernworth to the Nameless Village

As you can see on the map above, you’re bound to have a long trek if you want to reach the Nameless Village in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Make sure you’ve got the proper gear and that you have a couple of Camping Kits, too.

In any case, once you cross the river, you’ll stumble upon a rockslide. You can’t destroy it either using skills or spells. As such, the only recourse is to follow the path that leads south, then east, which takes you through the Eastern Forest. Along the way, you might encounter a boss monster, such as a Minotaur, so it’s up to you if you want to fight it.

The rockslide makes this area impassable (left), so you have to go through a forest which a Minotaur has made its lair (right).

A chat with the fake Maister

Upon arriving at the Nameless Village, you realize that the NPCs aren’t too happy about your presence. Still, continue up the hill until you reach the main building. Inside, you’ll meet a man named Flaude. Ask him about “Arthur” (i.e. the False Sovran), and he claims that he doesn’t know of such a person.

Flaude also says that he’s the Thief Maister, and he even gives you the Legend’s Opus scroll. However, you soon learn that he’s an impostor. In fact, the “ultimate skill” that you learn from the scroll deals damage to you more than your enemies.

Flaude the Fraud is trying to pull a fast one on you.

The Thieves Guild hideout

So, is our adventure in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Nameless Village at an end? Well, not quite. If you check to the left of the building, you’ll find a ladder.

Drop down and follow the tunnel, which leads to a cavern with seesaw bridges and traps. The goal is to step on one side to raise the opposite side. You should then run and jump until you cross the chasm. Do this for the next section as well. Oh, and don’t forget to interact with the rope bridges so you have an easier time climbing back up.

Time your jumps to get across this section.

At the end of the cave system, you’ll find several shady characters, all members of the Thieves Guild. Their leader, Srail, says that he’s not familiar with an “Arthur,” but he does know of a “Darragh.” He also gives you an arrest warrant for the man. Likewise, Srail reveals that he’s the real Thief Maister, granting you the “true ultimate skill” for the Thief vocation. Here are other things you should know:

Congrats! You found the real Thieves Guild peeps.

When you’re done, return to Brant and give Darragh’s arrest warrant to complete the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Nameless Village quest. This lets you proceed further with the main arc in Vernworth.
