Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Still Set For 2024 Release – Report

BioWare’s Dragon Age: Dreadwolf could be releasing in 2024, according to a new report.

According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, BioWare and EA are planning to release Dragon Age: Dreadwolf later this year. He said that while there’s the possibility that it could be delayed, EA is said to be internally confident of its release window. Grubb previously stated that the game would be coming out between Summer 2024 at the earliest and March 2025 at the latest.

BioWare has already confirmed that it will do a full reveal of the game during the summer, but Grubb clarified that he doesn’t know exactly when. Summer Game Fest is set to return in June 2024, so that event would be the most likely candidate. Another possibility would be a showing at Gamescom in Germany, which is set for August 2024.

While we don’t know many details about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf yet, we know that Solas will be a central figure in its story. Its setting is Tevinter, an oft-referenced place in the series, but this will be the first time it will be seen. The platforms it will rleease on have not yet been confirmed, but we do know it’s not coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has gone through some tumultuous development, such as losing its senior creative director back in 2021 and its quality assurance testers late last year. Electronic Arts also laid off 5% of its staff this week, with BioWare focusing on Dreadwolf as Mass Effect 5 is reportedly still in pre-production.
