Publisher Kemco and developer Rideon Japan have announced a release date for Cross Tails, their new throwback RPG.
Cross Tails is launching worldwide on July 20th across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:
A tactical SRPG with a huge volume in which two stories intersect.
A story of dogs (Hundians) and cats (Felis). This is a multi-ending, full-length SPRG that allows you to follow the story from two different perspectives.
Train your friends, challenge the stages, and lead your army to victory. The dog and cat versions have completely different characters and strategies.
Features
- Skill tree for character development – Each of the more than 30 different jobs has its own skill tree, which can be unlocked and enhanced using job points. Passive skills learned can be set and used even after a job change, so players can enjoy a wide range of combat styles by combining jobs and skills.
- An overwhelming game with over 60 stages – The dog and cat chapters each have multiple endings, allowing players to play through different routes in repeated playthroughs. If you are a skilled commander, you can try to clear the game on the highest difficulty level.
- Deep combat utilizing elevation differences and terrain – In this quarter-view simulation, players can take advantage of heights, attack from behind, and take advantage of terrain effects. Also, it is important to take actions based on the effects of the terrain. The player can experience the real thrill of SRPGs, such as using magic to round up all enemies at once or using knockback attacks to change the enemy’s position. Use your wits to the fullest by responding to the war situation that moves with each move.
