Disney Dreamlight Valley Will Add The Lion King In Next Week’s Update

The roster of familiar faces in Disney Dreamlight Valley will expand even further next week with the release of a new major update on April 5. With the new patch, players will get to meet Simba and Nala from The Lion King realm, as well as a new region that will represent their world.

Disney’s life-sim already hosts up to 23 characters from the company’s highly popular animations, but you can expect more residents to arrive and bring their biomes to the game’s world as the developers plan to release one more free update earlier in Summer 2023, according to the roadmap.

Next week’s update will also add a new Star Path, which is Dreamlight Valley’s take on a Battle Pass system. You will need to purchase the new Star Path to be able to receive its rewards by completing quests and challenges. The new Star Path will focus on Disney’s theme parks. Before the new update releases on April 5, you still have time to complete the current Star Path that celebrates the 100th anniversary of Disney.

Aside from the new characters, new realm, and new Star Path, the roadmap also refers to “new surprises” for next week’s update, but it is yet to be seen what those surprises could be. Hopefully, we are not long away from the release of the full patch notes for the next update.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a single-player experience at the moment, but the developers plan to add a multiplayer mode by the end of this year, as it has already been highlighted in the game’s roadmap for 2023. The game is still in the early access phase, but if everything goes according to plan, we can expect a full release sometime in 2023.

Although there is no demo for the game to play before purchasing, you are free to download and use the game’s Avatar Designer Tool through Steam, which gives a taste of how varied the customization options are in the game.

Disney Dreamlight Valley currently costs $29.99, but it will be a free-to-play experience once the early access period ends. However, those who have purchased the game in the early access phase will receive exclusive items.
