Diablo Immortal Hidden Lairs guide

Diablo Immortal contains a litany of ways to gain gear and experience. Aside from the normal campaign, story-based dungeons, and bounties, Hidden Lairs offer you an additional option for gaining useful items. Hidden Lairs are quite elusive and could be a pain to track down. Luckily for you, we have a simple guide that will help you grind these out as efficiently as possible.  Just read below for everything you need to know about Diablo Immortal’s Hidden Lairs.

Hidden Lairs explained

Hidden Lairs are bonus dungeons that reward you with gold, weapons, armor, and gems. If you are looking for upgrades without spending money, then knowing the locations of these dungeons becomes quite important. Each Hidden Lair offers one or more levels, and each one consists of a boss as well as bonus objectives that you can complete solo or with a party. Each side-objective you complete gives you extra loot, so it is always a good idea to complete as many of these as you can.

Each major zone within Diablo Immortal houses several potential locations where the hidden lair could randomly appear. When active, the entryway glows, and you can click on it to enter. Each lair is open for about 10-minutes, and if someone else gets to it before you, there is a chance that you will not be able to complete it. If you are close, you may get a prompt to join the player as they enter. Hidden Lairs tend to refresh quite quickly – it takes about 5-minutes – giving you plenty of chances to find one to explore.

A best practice when attempting to optimize efficiently farming these areas is to equip an ability that increases movement speed. For instance, the Barbarian has Sprint which increases your movement speed by 50% for several seconds with a ten-second cooldown. Furious Charge and Leap also assist in quickly traversing the environment. There are also white globes and shrines that will also provide you with a temporary speed boost. Ashworld Cemetery – 11 Hidden Lairs

Split into two main sections, the Ashworld Cemetery offers 11 Hidden Lairs with six located in the Northeastern corner of the Ashworld Manor and Eastern Gardens areas. They are more spaced out, but it is much easier to navigate as the zone offers much wider corridors and open spaces.

The rest are in the Southwest corner of The Ossuary and Queen Asylla’s Tomb areas. While these areas only have five, they are much closer together in comparison. Despite that, it lacks openness; getting through waves of enemies could be difficult if you don’t have anything that allows you to circumvent the hordes of demons.

Dark Wood – 9 Hidden Lairs

Like Ashworld Cemetery, the Dark Wood offers six Hidden Lairs towards the northern half of the map and three towards the bottom. You can make a run starting in the Fetid Swam, through the Sanguine Ruins, and ending at the last three spots in the Tree of Inifuss areas. When you get to the last spot, turn around and make your way back to the start of your run.

Since most of the Hidden Lairs reside on the northern side, it is not worth your time making the long run towards the southern region unless you want a change of scenery. Two are in the Derelict Timber Yard and one near the Blackstone Village. While these three are close together, you have a higher chance of getting into a Hidden Lair if you stick to the northern area.

Shassar Sea – 8 Hidden Lairs

One of the most strenuous areas to farm is the Shassar Sea with eight Hidden Lairs.

The Southeast waypoint is the best place to start your run, going northeast to the Windswept Sands, through the ruins, and then follow the road Southeast. There are another two locations, one right up some stairs and another one just around the corner. Go southeast and follow the pathway through the Lacuni Incursion.

Library of Zoltun Kulle – 8 Hidden Lairs

The Library of Zoltun Kulle is another area with spread-out Hidden Lairs that are a bit tedious to get to especially since some enemies are large and bulky. Luckily, most of the entrances are easy to get to thanks to the wider areas the Hidden Lairs reside in.

If you start at the Writhing Ingress waypoint located in the southwest portion of the map, you’ll find two potential Hidden Lairs relatively close. If you continue the pathway following Northeast, and then head Northwest, there is another, although that one is a bit off the beaten path and might not be worth running to every single time.

Continuing down that pathway, you’ll run through the Grand Vestibule where you’ll find another potential area. Further down the path is another until finally the path veers to the Northwest, but do not follow it, continuing onward into the Northeastern room where the last Hidden Lair in this run is located. There is one more within the Archive of Secrets if you feel like venturing towards it.

Bilefen – 5 Hidden Lairs

Bilefen does not have that many Hidden Lairs compared to other locations but is a large area to cover. Designed like a giant circle with a few offshoots, Bilefen might be easier to traverse than others. Three Hidden Lairs rest on the Northern side of the map on the outskirts of the Abandoned Village, Infested Quagmire, and Northern Wetlands. Getting between these three is quite easy as they are relatively close to one another.

On the Southern side, you have two located in the Southern Wetlands. They are further apart from each other as well as their northern versions. Running from the north side of the map to the south side might not be worth the trouble.
