A first look trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) has been released by Kadokawa.
The anime adaptation was announced last year and will be animated by studio Trigger. You can check out the new trailer below.
Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) is the long-running fantasy series from creator Ryoko Kui. Within the titular dungeon, Laios, his sister Falin, the halfling Chilchak, the elven mage Marcille, and a cadre of others tackle the deeper levels of the dungeon. It’s there that Falin is eaten by a powerful red dragon, with no option but to retreat, the party disbands soon after.
Unable to let his sister’s death go, Laios recruits Marcille and Chilchak to tackle the dungeon with him again to try and recover Falin’s body for resurrection before she’s fully digested. Along the way, the trio meets the eccentric dwarf known only as Senshi. He’s an odd sort, with a passion for cooking food made of monsters. With Senshi’s culinary wisdom and the open-mindedness of Laios, the party won’t let a little thing like food supplies stand in their way.
Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) will premiere in January as part of the Winter 2024 anime season.
