Dead Island 2 was a surprise treat when it launched earlier this year, as developer Dambuster Studios delivered a polished and cheeky adventure set right in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. If you missed out on the game and you’d like to score an early Black Friday bargain on this walking dead treat for PS5, then you can pick up the collector’s edition of Dead Island 2 for just $55.69 (normally $100) over at Amazon.
Also known as the “Hell-A” edition, this limited release of Dead Island 2 includes the base game and some cool extras. You’ll get a special steelbook case to house the game in, a replica of the Venice Beach travel map, six Slayer tarot cards, two pin badges, a patch, and a lot of DLC. In addition to the weapons packs that this release comes with, you’ll also score the expansion pass that adds even more content for you to dig into.
It includes the Red’s Demise katana, two major story expansions, and a bonus premium Character Pack that features a unique slayer costume and weapon. Overall, that makes for a lot of Dead Island 2 content that’s cheaper than the game when it first arrived in April on PC and console. The first story expansion, Haus, is already out and is set in a mysterious villa in Malibu. The boundaries of morality are somewhat vague here and you will need to investigate the secrets of a cult and its strange leader while dealing with infected people.
“Games labeled as being in ‘development hell’ rarely release in a state anyone would want to experience–if they release at all. With Dead Island 2, however, Dambuster Studios kicks away a decade of dev hell problems like they’re a zombie lunging for its throat to deliver an undead RPG that is surely imperfect, but also enjoyable and even inventive,” Mark Delaney wrote in GameSpot’s Dead Island 2 review.
For another big game deal this month, check out the November collection of Humble Choice. This collection of PC games will give you WWE 2K23, Unpacking, Hardspace: Shipbreaker and more, for just $12.
