After months of rumors and hype, Dead By Daylight is officially getting a dating sim spinoff.
During Dead By Daylight‘s sixth-anniversary event on Tuesday, Behaviour Interactive announced Hooked on You. This lighthearted visual novel where you can get to know the softer side of killers like Huntress, Spirit, Trapper, and Wraith on a tropical island vacation. Yes, it’s absurd in the best way possible.
“You wanted it? You got it! Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim mixes horror, humor, and romance to create a fresh way for fans to interact and create an emotional bond with their favorite Killers,” Mathieu Côté, head of partnerships for Dead by Daylight, said in a press release. “Our goal with our first visual novel is to provide fans with a completely unique and surprising new way to experience the world of Dead by Daylight.”

Behaviour is teaming up with Psyop, the studio behind I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator for this project. There’s no release date for Hooked on You yet, but it’s supposed to come out later this year.
Behaviour also revealed that another Resident Evil chapter is coming to Dead By Daylight soon.
