Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update Launches Next Week on PC and Consoles

The massive Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update will go live next week on PC and consoles, CD Projekt Red confirmed today.

The new update, which will bring tons of changes to the open-world RPG by the Polish studio, such as redesigned skill trees and perks, revamped cyberware, improved enemy AI, new police system, vehicle combat and car chases, interface improvements, and more, will go live in exactly one week, on September 21st.

Alongside confirming the launch date for the new Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update, CD Projekt Red shared a new Phantom Liberty expansion trailer and a new video featuring Idris Elba discussing Solomon Reed, the character he plays in the soon-to-be-released expansion.

As CD Projekt Red updated the Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements, there was little doubt that the game would become a little more demanding with the new additions coming with the 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty expansion. Earlier this week, CDPR’s Filip Pierściński suggested that PC players should check if their CPUs are properly cooled, as usage is expected to reach 90% on an 8-core CPU.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One worldwide. The Phantom Liberty expansion releases on September 26th on PC and current generation consoles only. You can learn more about the first and only expansion coming to the game by going here.
