Crime Scene Photographer is one of the achievements you can obtain in The Devil in Me. As Mark, you’ll have to be mindful of your surroundings so you can get some ideal shots. Here’s our The Devil in Me Crime Scene Photographer achievement guide to help you find all of Mark’s photo opportunities.
Note: For more information, check out our The Devil in Me guides and features hub. Likewise, please be reminded that this guide contains spoilers. Lastly, we’ve also got a Say Cheese achievement guide which involves the main characters.
There are over 20 photo opportunities required for The Devil in Me‘s Crime Scene Photographer achievement. You’ll know you’re looking at the right object, building, or scenery since the camera reticle will turn green.
To be clear, though, a single solo run won’t be enough to find all of Mark’s photo opportunities for the Crime Scene Photographer achievement in The Devil in Me. You’ll likely need to play the Curator’s Cut, which is unlocked once you complete a Theatrical Cut campaign. However, this is only available to those who’ve preordered the game. If you didn’t preorder, then you’ll need to wait for a few months until it’s added to the base game.
Note: There might be a way to gather some photos on your own, and then trying co-op to see if Mark is playable in other chapters, but I haven’t tested this yet.
Chapter: Scouting
Chapter: Mannequins
Chapter: Workshop
Note 1: This is extremely important, but you need to pass the QTE to grab the camera after Mark falls down the vent shaft. If you fail, the camera will plunge down the acid vat, and the gadget will be gone for good unless you restart the chapter.
Note 2: There are several “Hide” and “Don’t Breathe” sequences here. You must complete all of them successfully. Failure to do so will cause Mark to get captured, and you’d end up skipping these areas.
Chapter: Pool (Outside)
Chapter: Pool (Inside)
Chapter: Cliffside (Wilderness)
Note: Charlie will be the playable character in this chapter if he’s still alive. However, you can get him killed in the Incinerator Trap (i.e., force the door open twice), or the Grinder Trap (fail the QTEs). This will make Mark the playable character, where he’ll follow a different path to reach the factory. Also, I’ve yet to check if Mark can be used here in a co-op run (in case you don’t want Charlie to die too early).
Chapter: Cliffside (Factory)
Note: You’ll visit this location as Charlie if you kept him alive. Again, if he’s already dead, then you’ll control Mark here.
Chapter: Lighthouse
The above are Mark’s photo opportunities for the Crime Scene Photographer achievement in The Devil in Me. These are from a solo Theatrical Cut run. The ones below can be found while playing the Curator’s Cut campaign.
