CoD: Modern Warfare 2 And Warzone 2 – How To Unlock The Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle

Season 2 Reloaded is live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, bringing a new multiplayer map, more game modes, cosmetics, and more. This mid-season update also includes the Tempus Torrent as the final weapon of Season 2. Here we’ll guide you through all the ways to unlock this new marksman rifle.

How to unlock the Tempus Torrent marksman rifle

The Tempus Torrent is part of the M4 weapons platform, and it is described as a marksman rifle with impressive damage and a fast-firing mechanism. This weapon can be unlocked for free with an in-game challenge for multiplayer, Warzone 2, and DMZ, or you can buy the gun as part of a store bundle.

Warzone 2 and MP unlock challenge

Challenge: Get 25 Double Kills with marksman rifles.

This unlock challenge can be completed in multiplayer or Warzone 2, but this is going to be a faster unlock in multiplayer. If you’re attempting this in battle royale, you’ll want to pick Ashika Island Resurgence with trios or squads to give yourself enough opportunities to get double kills.

DMZ unlock challenge

Challenge: Extract the weapon from DMZ.

The Tempest Torrent can also be unlocked through a successful DMZ extraction. If a friend has this new weapon already, just have them set the Tempest Torrent as their insured weapon and invite them to play with you. They can drop the gun for you to pick up at the start of the match, and then you just need to successfully exfil with the weapon. You might even get lucky and loot an enemy player who has the Tempest Torrent equipped. This DMZ unlock method works for any weapon in the game.

Store bundle

You can bypass the challenges completely and purchase the gun outright in the shop. A store bundle is not currently available for the Tempest Torrent, but it should arrive in the shop sometime during Season 2 Reloaded.
