Chainsaw Man Gets Official Release Date With A New Trailer

MAPPA gave us the first PV of Chainsaw Man anime last year during its 10th anniversary live stream. Since then, the anime community has been looking forward to learning more about the upcoming anime adaptation. Well, after keeping us in the dark for more than a year, the Japanese studio finally released a new trailer for the much-awaited anime. Along with that, MAPPA also confirmed an official release date for the anime TV show.

Initially, fans thought that MAPPA would release a new trailer for Chainsaw Man at the anime expo that happened last month. However, the animators didn’t give us anything new at the panel, leaving the community disappointed. Soon after that, the studio released a new key visual for the anime, featuring Denji’s Chainsaw Man form in the spotlight. The creators also confirmed that they’d bring us the trailer and cast information on August 4th, 2022.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Well, the wait is now over, as the official YouTube channel of MAPPA recently premiered the new trailer for Chainsaw Man. The second PV trailer gives us a good look at some of the major characters, including Denji, Power, Makima, and Aki Hayakawa. Every frame of the trailer looks incredible, and it seems like MAPPA is going for a mix of both 2D and 3D animation for Chainsaw Man.

Along with the second trailer, we also have an official release date for Chainsaw Man. MAPPA confirmed that the anime would premiere in October 2022. So, we are only a couple of months away from seeing Denji on our screens. Interestingly, the anime will premiere around the same time when other popular shows like Mob Psycho 100 and Bleach are also making a return.

We already knew about the incredible staff that’s working on Chainsaw Man, and now, we also have some information on the cast:

  • Kikunosuke Toya, a relatively new voice artist, is voicing Denji.
  • Tomori Kusunoki, well-known for her work in Wonder Egg Priority as Aonuma Neiru, is taking on the role of Makima.
  • Shogo Sakata, the Japanese VA of Karin in Firce Force, is Aki Hayakawa.
  • Fairouz Ai, the VA of Jolyne Kujo in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, will be Power.
