Cat Deeley to join This Morning after Holly Willoughby exit in host shake-up | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Cat Deeley will join This Morning next week as the ITV show sees a shake-up in their presenters, a spokesperson has confirmed.

The presenter is set to co-host the show along with the likes of Rylan Clark, Craig Doyle, and Alison Hammond.

According to The Sun, the 47-year-old will work alongside Rylan Clark for her first instalment.

A source told the publication: “Cat is a seasoned pro and execs have been keen to get her in for a while.

“She takes live TV in her stride and is really witty and personable with guests.

“She is comfortable interviewing both pop stars and politicians, so if it goes well she could be a much more permanent solution to Holly leaving.

“Cat would be safe captain to steady the ship.” has reached out to ITV for a comment on the claims.

Back in May, long-standing host Phillip left the show after admitting to having had an affair with a younger colleague.

In October, Holly followed suit and left her role, which she had been in since 2009.

A rotation of presenters including Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, as well as Rylan, Josie Gibson, Rochelle Humes, and Craig Doyle have been fronting the programme recently.

Since Holly’s departure, rumours have been swirling as to who might replace her.

Cat has enjoyed a successful TV career, starting her presenting for ITV children’s show SMTV Live.

She went on to host talent competition shows Fame Academy, Stars in Their Eyes and So You Think You Can Dance.

She lived in LA for 14 years before moving back to the UK in 2020.

Cat and her husband Patrick Kielty now live in London in a family home that they rented to be closer to friends and family.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
