Carol Vorderman appeared on an episode of the BBC’s Have I Got News For You when she brought up a fall-out she had with her close friend Michelle Mone years ago.
She later called Conservative peer Michelle out over claims she made millions out of a government contract she was connected to during the Covid pandemic.
Addressing the allegations on the quiz show, she said: “It is just the very worst thing that anyone can do, to profiteer from the first lockdown.
“It’s absolutely disgusting. A lot of evidence has been put forward now and the National Crime Agency raided her and husband’s homes and offices.
“We’re a year on and nothing has been done. It’s insulting and disgusting that nothing has happened either way, frankly.”

Carol and Michelle used to be close before the latter married billionaire Doug Barrowman.
She faced accusations of “extraordinarily aggressive” lobbying to award PPE Medpro a £200million contract to produce medical gowns and face masks during the pandemic.
Michelle denies that she or her husband profited from the contracts.
Her lawyers have claimed she did not declare her PPE Medpro link in the House of Lords register of financial interests as “she did not benefit financially and was not connected to PPE Medpro Ltd in any capacity”.
It is understood Carol and Michelle have no contact, having cut ties with one another years ago.
However, this is not the first time Carol has raised her grievances on national television, as she spoke out on This Morning earlier this year.
She said: “Now Michelle Mone, I knew, many years ago and then dropped her like a stone as soon as I realised what kind of person she was.”
This Morning host Alison Hammond was forced to interrupt Carol’s rant to say: “Carol, can I just say she’s not here to defend herself.”
The pair had been friendly a decade ago when Michelle told of how Carol was helping her move on from her divorce from Michael Mone.
She said back in 2012: “Every day, I’m getting stronger and I’ve learned a lot.
“I spend a lot of time with my girlfriends – I have great fun with Carol Vorderman – and I have discovered a passion for karaoke.”
