Can You Turn Off the Invasion Mechanic in Sniper Elite 5? – GameSpew
One of the new features in Sniper Elite 5 is an invasion mechanic, allowing other players to jump into your campaign as an elite Jager hunter.
When a Jager hunter invades a player’s campaign, an exciting game of cat and mouse begins, with each trying to hunt the other down and put an end to them. What’s helpful for the Jager is that if the player attracts the attention of typical AI-controlled enemies, their position may be given away, so they need to be more cautions than ever. Needless to say, for some, it will give Sniper Elite 5‘s campaign that extra bit of unpredictability and challenge.
It’s not fun, though, if you keep being invaded and killed. In fact, it can be a serious hindrance to your progress. You might be wondering, then, if you can turn this new invasion mechanic off so you can just focus on working your way through Sniper Elite 5‘s campaign without worrying about people invading and killing you. And the answer is yes, you can.

When continuing or starting a new campaign from the main menu, simply look for the Allow Axis Invasion option listed under Online Features. Set it to Off, and you’ll no longer be invaded while making campaign progress. The only downside to this is that you’ll earn a little less experience for completing objectives, but it’s nothing to worry about.
If you’re an Achievement or Trophy hunter, however, then you’ll probably want to enable it at some point. To 100% the game, you’ll need to kill a Jager hunter that’s entered one of your campaign sessions.
