Can you respec your stats in No Rest for the Wicked? Answered

Anytime you level up in No Rest for the Wicked you get a set of stats you can upgrade, but can you respec your stats? If you make a mistake or feel like you want to change how you allocated your stats, what can you do?

No Rest for the Wicked: Can you reset your stats?

There are eight different stats in total, and you start with a value of 10 in each stat at the start of your game. With every level up you can allocate three points into a stat, but what if you make a mistake and want to change them? Unfortunately, it seems like you currently cannot respec your stats in No Rest for the Wicked.

If you check the stats menu, you can tell that there’s no button available for reallocating your stats. Also, after playing for over four hours I can conclude that I’ve yet to come across any item or person who can help me respec my stats.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the ability to reset your stats as something you have to find in the game yourself, and perhaps it’s somewhere later in the game that most players have yet to discover. Make sure you figure out the best stats to level up first before spending stat points.

Nevertheless, it seems like you have to be careful about the stats you pick for now. Other than your usual Health and Stamina stats, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Faith are all weapon-based stats that can affect how much damage you deal with certain weapon types. If you play with an Intelligence-based weapon for hours and then find a cool Strength-based weapon later, you’ll be highly deficient in those stat points to deal any significant damage with it.

Seeing as this could force you to stick with one type of weapon during a single playthrough, I could see Moon Studios implementing stat respecing in a future update. Since No Rest for the Wicked is in Early Access this gives Moon Studios the chance to rework mechanics and add new features on the road to its full release. For now, you may also be itching to figure out how to equip more Runes on your weapons.
