Bungo Stray Dogs Reveals Season 4 Release Date And Additional Cast

The official website and Twitter account of Bungo Stray Dogs have finally confirmed January 4th 2023 as the release date for the highly anticipated Season 4. For Japanese fans, the new season will release on Tokyo MX at 11:00 PM JST, with other broadcasting channels including Wowow, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and BS11. The new season will also be distributed on Docomo Anime Store at the aforementioned release date and time. For international fans of the series, Crunchyroll also has distribution rights, allowing players to watch on the platform.

To commemorate the announcement, the official YouTube channel of Kodansha has also released a brand new trailer for Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4. The trailer, which can be seen below, shows the Armed Detective Agency fighting against the special forces of the military and police known as the Hunting Dogs. The trailer also previews the opening theme song, “True Story,” performed by the well-known Japanese Music unit “SCREEN mode”.

The upcoming season will also bring a few new characters from the manga to the big screen. One such well-known character from the manga is Sigma, a member of the Decay of the Angel and the general manager of the Sky Casino. He is a tall young man with long grey and purple colored hair, wearing a long coat and earrings in both his ears. Shoya Chiba will be voicing the character of Sigma, well-known for voicing Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite, Yudai Imamura in Blue Lock, Tahomaru in Dororo, and several other famous characters.

With Season 4 now only a month away, we know now all of the major roles for the new season, Shoya Chiba will be joined by the following stars:

  • Osamu Dazai, voiced by Mamoru Miyano
  • Atsushi Nakajima, voiced by Yuuto Uemura
  • Ranpo Edogawa, voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya
  • Fyodor Dostoyevsky, voiced by Akira Ishida
  • Akiko Yosano voiced by Yuu Shimamura
  • Kyouka Izumi, voiced by Sumire Morohoshi
  • Doppo Kunikida, voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya
  • Kenji Miyazawa, voiced by Hiroyuki Kagura
  • Nikolia Gogol, voiced by Takehito Koyasu

Members of the crew include Takuya Igarashi, who will be returning as the director of the series; Nobuhiro Arai will be the character designer; Yumiko Kondo will take the role of art director, the music is given by Taku Iwasaki, while the series composition is done by Yoji Enokido. Just like all the previous seasons, Studio Bones will be animating the new season.
