Black Clover Chapter 334 has been on a week-long hiatus, but with the release quickly approaching, we have the spoilers for the upcoming chapter, which don’t promise anything in favor of Asta.
The final arc of Black Clover has just started, but the battle between Asta and Lucius has already begun. Lucius finally explained in the previous chapter how he and Julius are connected. He further explains his ultimate plans for the world and how he considered Asta, a being born without magic, a disgrace to this world. But Asta is determined to save Julius and the world from Lucius and says that he will surpass the Wizard King at that very moment.
Unfortunately, Lucius is nearly impossible to defeat at his current power levels. He will show a sliver of his power on Sister Lily in the upcoming chapter, but he also considers Asta as the only true threat, which makes it obvious why he is desperate to kill him.
According to Black Clover Chapter 334 spoilers, the new chapter will be titled “Fragile Souls,” and it will begin with a battle between Asta and Lucius. Asta’s Devil Union form can now last for 10 minutes. After several futile attacks, Asta is finally able to land a small attack on Lucius. The narration states that “Nothing in nature can resist time. However, anti-magic could be the natural enemy of this invincible magic.”
But soon after the attack, Lucius is ready to power up, and he reveals that he learned to use magic to strengthen the power of the Devils. He then transforms into an angelic form with two sets of wings, antlers like that of a reindeer, and a white aura surrounding him. His form looks truly magnificent, and he calls it the true human form. This form makes a few markings on his body, specifically on his face, and a book appears near him. Asta is astonished to see Lucius’ new form and comments that his KI is neither of a human nor a Devil’s.
Lucius takes hold of Sister Lily and, in no time, turns her into a Devil, or a true human, as he would say. The chapter confirms that Lucius’ true magic is Soul Magic. Using the power of Soul Magic, he can change the soul of anyone he touches. Sister Lily also transforms into an angel-like form, with sets of wings and markings on the face. She tells Asta to give up his life for the sake of world peace. Numbed by her new form, Asta just stands still, and Lucius attacks Asta and slashes his chest. He starts to fall to the ground while the blood is gushing out of his chest.
