Best XM4 setup in COD: Warzone Season 3

The XM4 is once again mingling with the game’s strongest meta weapons in Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Time and time again, Warzone’s balance updates shake up the established meta so much that guns you haven’t seen in action for months are suddenly thrown back towards the top in terms of popularity and K/D. Season 3 of the Pacific era did just that with the XM4 assault rifle, which first appeared in the Battle Royale offshoot during Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The best XM4 setup for Warzone Pacific Season 3 is revealed in this guide.

Best XM4 Setup in Warzone

Muzzle: Agency Suppressor.
Barrel: 13.5” Task Force.
Optic: Axial Arms 3x.
Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip.
Magazine: STANAG 60 Rnd.

This shooting iron has never lacked in damage potential. The main challenge is to manage the XM4’s violent recoil, which is where this setup will help you most.

The attachments used for this build don’t exactly turn the assault rifle into a pinpoint laser cannon, but they do soften the recoil enough to allow you to shoot very accurately in short and controlled bursts with a little trigger discipline. The Agency Suppressor also teases out an extension of the effective damage range, allowing you to engage from further away and thus giving you more time to stop an opponent from reaching you.

This makes the XM4 a powerful and relatively accurate long-range weapon, which fills a gaping hole in many arsenals after the big sniper nerf in Season 3’s update.

These are the perks and gadgets you should use in conjunction with this setup to create an effective XM4 class for Caldera as well as Rebirth Island:

Perks: Double Time, Overkill, Combat Scout.
Field Equipment: Heartbeat Sensor (Tactical), Semtex (Lethal).

An XM4 equipped in this way is suitable as a primary weapon, which you should pair with a submachine gun optimized for close combat to be ready for all scenarios – the Welgun or Owen Gun come in handy in Season 3. If you are more of a sniper, the XM4 is equally suitable as a secondary weapon. In this case, it perfectly complements an HDR or Kar98k to stop the enemy at medium range and keep you safe.
