As you head to the Old World with your camera, flashlights, and any other useful items you need, you may find yourself wanting to protect yourself from the dangerous monsters. Here are the best weapons in Content Warning and how to use them properly.

Content Warning: Best weapons and how to use them

Content Warning unfortunately doesn’t give you any lethal weapons that can outright kill monsters. While this may be disappointing to hear, that doesn’t mean you can’t purchase weapons that can stall enemies before they can hurt you or your friends. Let’s go over the best weapons in your arsenal and how to properly use them.

How to use the Shock Stick

The Shock Stick may be the best weapon you can get so far in Content Warning. It’s long-ranged, so you don’t have to stand too close to the enemy to shock them. As you can guess, this Shock Stick looks like a taser attached to a long stick which can briefly stun enemies. The only issue is its $400 price point.

They only stay stunned for a short period before they’re back and ready to attack you, so take that time to run away. Also, keep in mind that if you want to use the Shock Stick a second time you need to unequip and re-equip it. I’m not sure if this is a bug or an intentional feature, but if you try to stun something again it won’t work unless you press its related number key to unequip it.

You should also keep an eye on the battery life of the Shock Stick. It will run out pretty quickly, but luckily you can recharge it at the charging station back in the overworld. Remember to shut it off right after stunning an enemy.

How to use the Goo Ball

This is the only other weapon in Content Warning that can subdue an enemy for some time, similar to the Shock Stick. It’s a lot cheaper, purchasable at $150, and it’s like a sticky grenade that shoots out at enemies to stall them.

Any enemy stuck inside the goo will be slowed, giving you time to capture them on video or run away. It’s a single-use item, so you can’t recharge it and you must aim it carefully. Compared to the Shock Stick, the Goo Ball is a lot more affordable and effective, but the Shock Stick is reusable.

I’d say then that the Shock Stick is the better weapon overall and it’s worth the $400. But the Goo Ball is still a good purchase if you don’t have enough money for the other weapon. Hopefully, these two weapons can help you earn more views as well.
