Niantic announced a new Pokemon Go event on St. Patrick’s Day, so we prepped the Best Tapu Lele Raid Counters in 2022.

On St. Patrick’s Day, Niantic announced a new event coming to Pokemon Go this week. The new Pokemon Go event is called Lush Jungle and will welcome Fomantis, Lurantis, and Tapu Lele. Additionally, the Season of Alola Special Research: Akala Island will become available.

During the event, trainers will be able to find shiny variations of some of their favorite grass-type Pokemon. With the new event comes a new Legendary raid and a returning Mega Raid. So be on the lookout for Mega Charizard Y and the Tapu Lele raids. This guide will help you to take on the new Tapu Lele raid in Pokemon Go.

Tapu Lele Raid Stats

• Tapu Lele is a Fairy Psychic-type Pokemon.
• It is weak to Steel, Poison, and Ghost-type moves.
• Tapu Lele’s Raid CP is 50112
• Tapu Lele’s Base HP is 172
• Its Attack is 259 and Defense is 208
• The Base catch CP is between 1912 – 1996
• The Boosted Catch CP is between 2390-2496
• It is Weather Boosted by Windy or Cloudy weather
• Its fast moves can be Confusion or Astonish
• Its Charged moves can be Psyshock, Moonblast, Focus Blast, or Future Sight.

Tapu Lele Raid Counters

Going into the Raid, trainers will need Pokemon with high defensive stats or strong fast attacks. Overall, Tapu Lele is one of the four Legendary Guardian Deities in Pokemon to take down in Pokemon Go. The raid can be easily completed by a team of 2 to 6 trainers; a team of 4 to 20 trainers will easily take it down awarding a better completionist bonus. Using Mega Pokemon such as Mega Gengar or Mega Beedril will make trainers’ lives easier based on type advantages. Ultimately, you will want to use Steel, Poison, or Ghost-type Pokemon. Be careful, because the raid can be difficult if using Fighting, Psychic, dragon-type Pokemon.
