Joker’s role within the team in Persona 5 Tactica can differ depending on how you play the game, but for me, Joker’s primary build was that of a ranged attacker, utilizing both guns and persona skills to great effect. I also tried to give him a bit of a buff to his physical attacks, as he was pretty up in the enemy’s face a lot of the time thanks to being a primarily offensive unit. For me, he ended up becoming more of an offensive unit that inflicted ailments upon the enemy, while also being the unit that was probably the most versatile thanks to being able to utilize guns, melee, and persona skills.
Best sub-personas for Joker in Persona 5 Tactica
The best sub-personas for Joker’s build in Persona 5 Tactica are sub-personas that are relatively well balanced. You can spec him purely having a gun stat buff from sub-personas to some pretty decent results, too, but for me, he was amazing when I decided to give him a balanced buff from his sub-persona. Make sure to choose a sub-persona that also has a pretty decent SP pool to lend to Joker, too, as his skills are pretty costly as you progress through the game, so it might be worthwhile to invest some there. I didn’t worry too much about HP, as Joker was killing enemies more often than they were hurting him.
Best skills to acquire
You can see the way I’ve gone about acquiring skills for my Joker build in Persona 5 Tactica above. I advise that you primarily look to increase his Eiha skills and damage done by those, while also speccing into giving him buffs through Charge, Trigger Synergy, and SP recovery. Thanks to him being a pretty main focus of the offensive part of my team, he was always on the frontlines and doing major damage — this meant that sometimes he’d be on his own, and a charge would occur when you end the turn. So, getting some of those buffs can only help in the long term. Also, don’t underestimate the follow-up attack skills here, they’re essentially free One Mores on maps with elevation, so they’re worth it, too.
