BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst urged to ‘move on’ by blushing co-star after intimacy jibe | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

On Sunday’s instalment of BBC Breakfast, hosts Nina Warhurst and Ben Thompson were bringing viewers the latest headlines. One of which was the recent announcement that people will soon be able to get a master’s degree to become an intimacy coordinator. However, after taking the opportunity to make a joke about the subject, Ben was left blushing.

Introducing the topic, Ben revealed Nina had been fascinated with this story after watching the BBC show Normal People.

Confessing that she had, the presenter told her co-host that the series had marked the first time intimacy advisors had come to the fore.

Reading a segment on the article, Nina shared that Ita O’Brien, the intimacy coordinator who worked on Normal People, is launching a master’s degree on the subject.

However, Ben was taken aback that people were able to study the topic as he questioned: “A degree?!”

“But is it a degree?”

Taking the opportunity to make a crude joke on the topic, Nina responded: “I mean, I guess you need to know all the intimacies of making a film, don’t you?

“The ins and outs so to speak.”

Nina’s quick quip left Ben speechless as he started giggling at her comment and put his hand to his head in embarrassment.

He replied: “I knew where you were going with that!”

Reading more from the article, Nina added that the cast of Bridgerton had touched on how it made them feel when shooting sex scenes in the Netflix series.

They confessed the intimacy coordinator made them feel safer and protected, along with making things less awkward when filming.

Still laughing at Nina’s response, Ben picked up another paper and said: “I like this picture, let’s move quickly on from the ins and outs of that.”
