Post Trauma, a new psychological horror game by Red Soul Games was announced last night during The Game Awards 2022. The upcoming horror title will be published by Raw Fury on both consoles and PC, but an exact release date or specific platforms for Post Trauma are yet to be confirmed. The title is, however, now available to wishlist on Steam.

A brief gameplay trailer for Post Trauma has also been released, giving players a breakdown of what to expect from its graphics, atmosphere, and creepy venues. As seen in the footage, the player will lurk around spine-chilling corridors and subway tracks, as the protagonist investigates what is happening to the world around him. Roberto Serra, the founder of Red Soul Games, issued a statement about their partnership with Raw Fury in publishing via the game’s Steam page, saying that working with a new company won’t affect the development process, but will make Post Trauma a bigger game than he had in his mind.

Post Trauma is an atmospheric horror game that puts the player in the shoes of an adult train conductor, Roman, who will explore a surreal world filled with deadly foes. However, not all creatures in Post Trauma will be hostile, as there will also be friendly ones that will help players along their journey. Inspired by classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, the game emphasizes fixed camera angles for an immersive horror experience, supported by smooth controls and horrifying soundscapes. Players will solve puzzles and riddles to extract information to progress in the game, as they unravel the mystery of the game’s surreal world. It also features thematic save points akin to the Resident Evil series.

Roberto claims both developing Post Trauma and interacting with its marketing and PR networks alone is quite strenuous, saying: “Thanks to RF I can now have a lot of things that I couldn’t take care of on my own or that a publisher does better than me. It also allows me to bring new people to the team like for example Pau Pujadas, who is helping me A LOT with the art of the game.” He also reiterated that more information about the platforms will be shared soon.

A demo version of Post Trauma was released on Itch.io last week, with praises for its gory theme with grey-black palettes.
