Atlas Fallen Has Been Delayed By 3 Months

Atlas Fallen has been delayed by 3 months, publisher Focus Entertainment has confirmed. The upcoming fantasy A-RPG was originally scheduled to release in May, but will now launch on August 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

“Our goal has always been to create a memorable A-RPG experience in a unique setting, with exciting gameplay and the option for fully playable seamless co-op with a friend. We’d love to give the game some extra time which will allow us to deliver the best possible version of Atlas Fallen,” Focus Entertainment said in a new statement.

The publisher goes on to state, “to achieve this, we have made the difficult decision to delay the worldwide launch of Atlas Fallen to August 10, 2023. We apologize for this disappointing news.”

Despite the disappointing news, Focus Entertainment ended the statement by announcing that further updates on the game will be shared in early summer, shortly before the game’s worldwide launch. The new look at Atlas Fallen will include new gameplay footage and the very first look at co-op gameplay.

Atlas Fallen was first announced during Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live back in August of last year. The game will be developed by Deck 13, the same studio best known for creating The Surge series.

The story of Atlas Fallen takes place in a unique desert realm full of ancient dangers and archaic mysteries. Players won’t be able to make use of traditional weapons, as Deck 13 has opted to allow players to harness the power of magical gauntlets to control the sand around them and shape it into a magnitude of different weapons.

Fans of the upcoming title were hoping to get their eyes on some new gameplay footage in the coming days, following an announcement earlier this month that the game would launch in May. Of course, that is no longer the case, and the wait for new gameplay will be a little longer than originally anticipated.

Atlas Fallen will now release on August 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
