At Long Last, Destiny 2 Players Can Access Their Vault From Orbit Starting Next Season

With hundreds of weapons and armor pieces to choose from, a limited amount of inventory space, and only a handful of locations from where you can access your vault, there’s a good chance that your Destiny 2 experience has been interrupted in the past by this system. The good news is in Season 23, Destiny 2 players will be able to finally access their personal vault while they’re in orbit–without the use of a third-party app–making it much easier for Guardians to get their loadout fine-tuned before they head into a big activity like a raid or Trials of Osiris.

Bungie says that it’s exploring additional areas to give more freedom to players so that they can access the vault in-game for potential future releases, and the studio has several other small but thoughtful changes on the horizon. Next season will also see the energy costs for Ghost mods substantially reduced across the board, allowing for more options to make your floating Lazarus device more useful. With these new energy costs, you’ll be able to slot in more functional mods. Play your cards–or mods–right and you can have a Ghost that helps you earn extra XP, can get you more desired armor rolls, and is better at harvesting resources.

Lastly, Bungie detailed some of the changes that can be expected when Master Rahool makes some tweaks to his inventory and the costs associated with some rare materials. Starting in Season 23, your resident Cryptarch will be able to break down one Enhancement Prism into five Enhancement Cores for 2,500 Glimmer, three times a week. Other economy updates include:

Materials Acquired Material Cost Glimmer Cost Purchases Per Week
1 Enhancement Prism 10 Enhancement Cores 2500 (previously 10,000) 3
1 Ascendant Shard 10 Enhancement Prisms 10,000 (previously 50,000) 3
1 Ascendant Alloy 10 Enhancement Prisms 10,000 3
5 Enhancement Cores 1 Enhancement Prism 2,500 3

In the Exotics department, several of these ultra-rare weapons are also getting updated. Hand cannon enthusiasts can look forward to the arrival of a Catalyst for Thorn that will make it more “fun” to use in PvE and will make it more effective in PvP. Festival of the Lost will also be coming to a close soon, so you only have a few more days left to farm Spectral Pages.
