According to a reliable dataminer of Ubisoft games, the publisher may not be releasing Assassin’s Creed Mirage this year as originally planned. Instead, the leak claims that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been delayed into 2024, along with The Crew 3.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was announced last year with a 2023 release window, though no actual release date was given at the time. The game was leaked before Ubisoft’s planned reveal, though that didn’t stop the hype train from leaving the station as fans were excited by the prospect of a fresh Assassin’s Creed game going back to the series’ stealth-orientated roots.

RELATED: Best Ubisoft Games, RankedIt has so far been expected that Assassin’s Creed Mirage would release sometime this year, with some publications claiming earlier this year that the release date would be June 30th of this year. Back in December, we reported that the game had been internally delayed several times and was aiming for a December 2023 release date.

Now, it has been claimed that both Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew 3 have been pushed back to 2024 and that Ubisoft will reveal more during its next Ubisoft Forward event. The information comes from Twitter user @ScriptLeaksR6 (via Insider Gaming), a person known for their datamining efforts in Ubisoft games. The user in question has also got a decent track record when it comes to leaks as they had previously leaked Assassin’s Creed Mirage before it was actually announced.

Still, it would be wise to take this with a pinch of salt until Ubisoft makes any kind of official announcement. Insider Gaming, an outlet known for its close ties to industry insiders, has claimed that its sources have stated that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is targeting an August 2023 release date while The Crew 3, otherwise known as The Crew Motorfest, is aiming for a September 2023 release.

At this time, it’s difficult to parse the truth from any such sources. However, it’s worth noting that Ubisoft has joined Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft in pulling out of E3 2023. The publisher confirmed earlier today that it would not be in attendance and would instead give fans updates via Ubisoft Forward, an online streaming event taking place on June 12.
