Arcade1Up has announced a brand-new partnership with Taskrabbit, as the two will join forces to make gaming rooms for your home.

Article Summary

  • Arcade1Up teams up with Taskrabbit for easy home arcade setup services.
  • Taskrabbit to assemble Arcade1Up’s retro arcade and pinball games.
  • Service is now available to customers in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Partnership promises a swift transition from purchase to playtime.

Arcade1Up announced they have formed a new partnership with Taskrabbit, as they will work together to bring you the best at-home gaming room you could own. The crux of this is to make it easier for consumers looking to own a home arcade to get one they want, have it set up, and be ready to play without a lot of work on their end. Starting today, Taskrabbit will now offer an at-home assembly service specifically catered to Arcade1Up’s line of retro arcade and pinball video games, giving you the ability to have an arcade set up in your home without having to build it yourself.

At the moment, the service appears to be available to U.S. and Canadian customers. It feels like a pretty brilliant move, as many of us here at Bleeding Cool own and have reviewed their arcade units. While they are easy to set up, they do take a lot of time to put together. If you have the money, getting someone else to pop in and do the work for a small fee seems dope. We have a coupe of quotes about the new partnership from today’s announcement for you below.

“Listening to our community has always been a top priority at Arcade1Up,” said David McIntosh, Head of Brand and Communications at Arcade1Up. “We understand that the excitement of purchasing a new arcade machine can sometimes be hindered by the assembly process, despite how easy we’ve tried to make it. Partnering with Taskrabbit removes the biggest barrier to enjoyment: the setup. We can’t wait to see all of the amazing home arcades that come about from this partnership.”

“Arcade1Up’s innovative products are a perfect match for our assembly services. We pride ourselves in offering a convenient and affordable way to get help at home, so we are thrilled that we can help customers enjoy their Arcade1Up gaming experience almost immediately,” said Tamara Rosenthal, VP of Marketing at Taskrabbit.
