Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Disney Plus Streaming Release Date Confirmed For May

Marvel Studios has announced that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting on May 17. The stakes are higher than ever for Scott Lang, and with Kang the Conqueror making his triumphant debut in the MCU, the third Ant-Man film has loads of narrative weight to bear on its shoulders as it paves the way for the future of Marvel movies.

The film features the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, also known as The Wasp. The story centers around the heroes’ mission to unravel the mysteries of the Quantum Realm. The cast also includes Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, and the and the re-introduction of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, who previously appeared in Loki.

The third installment in the Ant-Man franchise was met with mixed reviews, but still packs a bit of fun. “In our reality, Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania is the most generic Marvel movie imaginable, smoothing over every edge that might alienate viewers until anything of substance has been expunged,” Phil Owen wrote in GameSpot’s Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania review. “That’s not to say it’s an unpleasant experience. It’s not. Rather, it’s the kind of movie you’ll completely forget within a couple of days because there’s nothing really worth remembering.”

Since the movie’s release, Majors has reportedly been dropped from movies and ad campaigns amid domestic assault allegations. It’s unclear whether he will appear in future MCU releases.
