Last year in July, Netflix announced its plan to enter the mobile gaming world as a part of its subscription service. Later in November, it rolled out globally. And since then, every month, new games are being added. Consider this post an all-in-one guide regarding Netflix Games. Here we will share with you all you need to know about it.
Netflix has started offering games through its service. Those with a Netflix subscription can play them on their tablets and smartphones. Many of them are based on popular Netflix Series and TV shows and are exclusive to Netflix.
Netflix Games can be played through the Netflix mobile app itself. Just open the app and scroll to the games section, pick any that interest you and enjoy playing. However, keep in mind that they are available only on the mobile app and not on PC or console.
You do not have to pay anything extra to access Netflix Games. Those who have a Netflix plan will have free access to this service.
There are currently 26 titles available. More games are expected to be added soon. Here is a list of all 14 live games:
Netflix Games are free-to-play without any in-app ads or purchases. However, it goes without saying that you need a Netflix subscription to access these games.
Netflix said that it’s a global rollout. So, we assume that it’s available worldwide where the Netflix mobile app is available to download.
Netflix is looking for ways to keep growing, especially in more saturated markets like the US. The company has already expanded its list of content for children, opened its own merchandise store, and signed a contract with director Steven Spielberg to secure more prestigious films. Games will make it easier for the company to justify price increases in the coming years. In addition, games help promote other content. Thus, Netflix can make a big contribution to the gaming industry and get a profit.
