All weapons in Wild Hearts

The wide variety of weapons that the Monster Hunter series lets players wield has become almost as iconic as the monsters. These weapons, which include great swords, dual blades, and the more unconventional insect glaives, give players an almost overwhelming number of options with which to tackle the games’ numerous hunts. Naturally, being a game clearly inspired by Monster HunterWild Hearts boasts its own selection of weapons for players to experiment with. At least as of right now, Wild Hearts only includes eight weapons; not quite as many as the average Monster Hunter game. However, the weapons that do exist should provide more than enough playstyle variation for now.

What are all the weapons in Wild Hearts?

Here is a full list of the eight weapons featured in Wild Hearts:

  • Karakuri Katana
  • Nodachi
  • Bow
  • Bladed Wagasa
  • Canon
  • Clawblade
  • Karakuri Staff
  • Maul

The Karakuri Katana serves as the standard starting weapon with a healthy balance of both power and speed. On the other hand, the Nodachi provides players with slower, more hard-hitting attacks, albeit not to the degree of the Maul, the biggest heavy-hitter of them all.

Those wanting to stay aggressive on monsters with flurries of faster, weaker hits will want to go with the Clawblade. But say you wish to pick away at monsters from a distance. In that case, the Bow and Canon should have that playstyle more than covered.

As for the Karakuri Staff and Bladed Wagasa, those offer more unique experiences compared to the rest of the weapons in Wild Hearts. The Karakuri Staff comes with multiple transformations that players can switch between on the fly. These transformations include the long staff, giant shuriken, twin fang, war pike, and the exceptionally powerful giant sword. Meanwhile, the Bladed Wagasa sets itself from other weapons thanks to its parry function. Players who prefer to stay on the defensive will definitely want to stick with this one.
