All Tears of the Kingdom Stable locations

Finding Tears of the Kingdom stables is about more than just giving your equine friends a nice place to shack up for the night. Stables are where you register your horse, of course, but they’re also a magnet for the people of Hyrule – and their problems. If you’re looking for a new side quest, whether it’s a Stable Trotter quest or something else, or if you need to help the Great Fairies, then stables are where you need to be.

There are fifteen stables hidden throughout Hyrule – some glaringly obvious and some of hidden out of sight. You can usually spot one in the distance thanks to a telltale plume of smoke, and when you get closer, you’ll see a little wooden horsey head sticking into the air far above the stable itself.

If you’re having trouble finding a horse to begin with, check our guide on how to register a horse

You can reach this one by following the road northwest from Lookout Landing. It’s a handy rest stop before launching into the Ridge wilderness. The road takes you over a bridge where a Hinox is resting, so make sure to sneak past or just run as fast as you can, unless you want to fight.

You can reach this stable by heading southeast from Lookout Landing and where you first fall to Hyrule. It’s a safer trip than the road to New Serenne, so this might make a better inaugural stable.

Outskirt stable is at the other end of the field, on the road leading to the rocky pass that eventually gives way to the desert and highlands.

This stable is a bit of an odd one. You can only board one horse here, and it’s right near the Outskirt Stable anyway. There is a lore reason why this one exists, though, and you’ll find out once you visit the next stable.

The Gerudo Canyon stable is no more, though its building and map marker still exist. Drop in for a chat with the sole NPC hanging about.

The Wetlands Stable is almost due east of Lookout Landing, situated on the edge of – surprise! – the wetlands. It’s a good place for a rest before wading into the Lizalfos-infested waters ahead.

Follow the river south of Riverside Stable and turn to the east. On the other side of the twin peaks is the stable that bears their name.

The Woodland Stable is in the same spot as it was in Breath of the Wild, where the river meets the woodlands, Hyrule Field, and Eldin.

East of the Woodland Stable is the Foothill Stable, your last resting place before the grueling peaks of Death Mountain and the gateway to Akkala.

If the worries of the road got you down between the Foothill Stable and here, you can take a rest – and pick up some new quests.

This stable is near the ancient tech lab, where you’ll visit for the Travel Medallions, among other things.

The clue is in the name for the Tabantha Bridge Stable. It’s on the Hyrule side of the bridge connecting the ridge to Rito territory.
