The end is near as God of War Ragnarök has finally received a release date, with Nov. 9, 2022 being the date that Kratos and Atreus embark on their next journey. Along with the release date announcement, preorders will be going live soon with a boatload of amazing Viking-infused content. Want to know which preorder edition suits you best? We have you covered; here are all of the preorder editions for God of War Ragnarök and when you can preorder them.

When Do Preorders Start for God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Editions? Answered

Preorders for God of War Ragnarök open July 15, 2022 at 10:00 am Local Time (10 am Eastern Time for North America). At this current moment, you cannot preorder the game digitally or physically on any storefront as the game has not been added to said stores.

There are four different preorder editions that will be going live on July 15, and we’ll be going over them now.

God of War Ragnarök – Launch Edition Items

Preordering the base edition of God of War Ragnarök will net you:

  • Kratos Risen Snow Armor
  • Atreus Risen Snow Tunic (cosmetic armor set)

God of War Ragnarök – Digital Deluxe Edition

Preordering the Digital Deluxe Edition of God of War Ragnarök will net you:

  • Full God of War Ragnarök game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles
  • Kratos Darkdale Armor
  • Atreus Darkdale Attire (cosmetic armor set)
  • Darkdale Blades Handles for the Blades of Chaos

God of War Ragnarök – Collector’s Edition

Preordering the physical God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition will net you the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine which will house a few neat collector’s item as well as in-game rewards:

  • Printed voucher code for the full God of War Ragnarök game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
  • A Steelbook Display Case (no game disc included) – The God of War Ragnarök Steelbook Display Case depicts renditions of the Bear and the Wolf.
  • 2” Vanir Twins Carvings – In the same style as Atreus’ wooden toy carvings of the Huldra Brothers from the God of War (2018) Collector’s Edition, the God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition completes the set with carvings of the Vanir Twins.

The Jötnar Edition is the amped up edition of the previously mentioned Collector’s Edition. Preordering this will net you everything the Collector’s Edition contains, additional physical items as well as in-game rewards:

  • Printed voucher code for the full God of War Ragnarök game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
  • 7-Inch Vinyl Record with music by Bear McCreary – This includes two tracks from composer Bear McCreary.
  • The Falcon, Bear, and Wolf Pin Set – Representing Faye, Kratos, and Atreus respectively, this pin set symbolizes our heroes’ family.
  • The Legendary Draupnir Ring – A ring from Norse Mythology, the Legendary Draupnir Ring comes in a red cloth bag.
