Diablo 4 is currently undergoing its third Season called Season of the Construct, and while it seems like yesterday since it was announced, we have reached the point in which the Mid-Season update is just one week away. Today the team behind Diablo 4 at Blizzard streamed a new Campfire Chat which discussed several things such as the returning Vampiric Powers and game features such as Trials and the infamous Gauntlet. However, for all of those that thrive on the percentages and class predominance, they have also unveiled some balance changes for the Mid-Season update. Let’s take a look at what we can expect for next week’s update in Diablo 4.

Class Update
Seneschal General
Resolved an issue where the Construct would benefit from Skills that benefit allies such as Barbarian War Cry and the Druid Blood Howl.

Tuning Stones
Poison Support

– No longer reapplies the Construct’s damage bonuses when it spreads, matching the functionality of other damage over time Tuning Stones.
Bleeding Support
– Bonus Bleeding damage reduced from 20% to 10%.
Burning Support
– Bonus Critical Strike damage reduced from 20% to 10%
– Bonus Critical Strike damage per Skill Rank reduced from 2% to 1%.

Governing Stones
Tempest

– No longer gains bonus damage and duration when it is reapplied or when it spreads.

Barbarian Buffs to underused Skills
– Strategic Ground Stomp Ultimate CDR increase from 1 to 2 seconds.
Strategic Iron Skin: Fortify amount increased from 15% to 20%.
Prime Call of the Ancients: Bonus damage increased from 10% to 20%.

Gohr’s Devastating Grips
– Ranks of Whirlwind increased from 1-2 to 2-3.
– Explosion damage increased from 16-26% to 25-33%.

Sorcerer Incinerate buffs
– Damage increased by 40%.
– Enhanced Incinerate damage increased from 25% to 50% of Incinerate’s damage.
– Destructive Incinerate enemy damage reduced amount from 25% to 30%.
– Greater Incinerate Immobilize duration increased from 1 to 1.5 seconds.

Buffs to Conjuration Skills
Buffs to underused Passives, Paragon Glyphs.

Druid Buffs to Basic Skills
Example: Wind Shear Buffs
– Spirit Generation increased from 14 to 16.
– Damage increased by 10%.
– Wild Wind Shear additional Spirit per enemy hit increased from 3 to 4.

Companion damage buffs
– Wolves, Poison Creeper, and Ravens.

Buffs to underused Passives
Storm’s Companion Unique
– Ranks of Wolves increased from 2-3 to 4-5.
– Storm Howl damage increased by roughly 180%.

Rogue Heartseeker / Forceful Arrow attack speeds are being increased by 20%
– Should feel much closer to how Puncture currently does.

Flurry Buffs
– Damage increased by 10%.
– Improved and Advanced flurry buffs.

Precision stacks required for bonuses reduced from 6 to 4
– Rhythm of getting the proc should feel better.

Aspect of Branching Volleys Legendary redesign

Necromancer Minion Buffs
– Damage increased by 20% baseline.
– Health increased by 10%.
– Hellbent Commander Damage bonus increased from 10/20/30% to 15/30/45%.
– Cult Leader Legendary Node Minion Damage bonus increased from 10% to 15% per 20% Attack Speed.
– Corporeal Glyph Redesign: You and your Minions deal 10%(x) increased Physical Damage and you gain 1% Movement Speed for each active Minion.
– Fixed an issue with Skeletal Reapers respawning too few Corpses. They now Spawn the proper amount.
– Looking to do more in Season 4.

Buffs and functionality adjustments to underused Passives
Examples:

Skiped Armor
– Now grants Thorns and 5/10/15% additional Armor
Death’s Reach >> Death’s Advance
– Changing from damage to distant enemies to instead grant 4/8/12% Movement Speed.

Core Skill Buffs
– Blight, Blood Surge, Sever.
