Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse launched on June 22 the second-biggest event for Version 2.7, A muddy Bizarre Adventure, and behind its JoJo reference name is a battle-focused event in The Chasm’s Depths. Here’s our guide to help you out.
After accepting the Event’s first quest, Spike Self-Circulation Report: Abstract, and going through a few dialogue cutscenes with Hosseini, you’ll be able to start the event by interacting with the Pursina’s Spike. Make sure to equip the Lumenstone Adjuvant in the Gadgets menu and switch to your strongest party members before starting.

How To Clear A Muddy Bizarre Adventure Stage 1: Transportation Test
This is the first battle of the event. You’ll have to defeat all the mobs who spawn while defending the Pursina’s Spike. It’s actually not that easy to defeat all the mobs within the time limit so make sure to eat some stats boosting food first. I also strongly recommend bringing your Noelle, your Zhongli, or any character you can confidently break Geo Shields with. The last wave of mobs has some Rock Shieldwall Mitachurls. You can easily fail to defeat them before the time limit if you don’t break their shields fast enough.
During the challenge, don’t forget to use the Lumenstone Adjuvant to dispel the dark mud. Your Lumenstone Adjuvant is likely to run out of energy mid-way. Don’t forget you can touch the blue lights near the challenge to recharge its energy.
How To Clear A Muddy Bizarre Adventure Stage 2: Automated Charging
This one is actually easier than Stage 1, as the time limit is much longer. Make sure to run around and dispel the black mud as much as possible. Some black mud clutters can spawn pretty far away from the Pursina’s Spike. You can find my own gameplay video of that stage below. It looks chaotic but again it’s actually much easier than stage 1.
Future stages will be unlocked with every new Daily Server Reset this week. This is definitely a worthwhile event, as fully clearing it will net you 400 Primogems. It’s pretty fun too, as the dialogues with Hosseini reveal a lot of lore related to Sumeru. The Sumeru region in Genshin Impact will be launching in late Summer with Version 3.0.
