Diablo 4 is in its final leg of production leading up to the full launch, and it appears it’ll be released with a new Xbox Series X console design.

This comes from prominent leaker @billbil_kun on Twitter, who notes that a Diablo 4 edition of the Xbox Series X is on its way and will launch alongside the game on June 6. Additionally, the console will launch at $559.99 USD, exactly $60 more than the standalone system, and is being described as a “bundle” indicating it’ll come with the game. With that being said, there’s no image for the console or word on what it will look like.

It was previously stated that Blizzard had “no plans” for a day one Xbox Game Pass release of the game, despite Microsoft being in the midst of trying to acquire Activision-Blizzard.

There have recently been two betas for Diablo 4, with the first being a closed beta and the other being open to the public. Despite the closed beta having some unfortunate technical issues that frustrated players, the game has been received quite positively so far overall, with the DualShockers hands-on impression mostly echoing those sentiments, but having some reservations about the MMO and open-world shift. Additionally, Diablo’s general manager, Rod Fergusson, reassured fans that the betas were being used to help improve the state of the game at launch.

There has been some recent controversy, however, with some players claiming that the initial beta had been wrecking their Nvidia RTX GPU’s, although this story is still developing. It’s currently unknown whether this is simply an issue with the manufacturing of the cards, exactly how many people are experiencing it, and if this will still be an issue come the game’s launch.

Diablo’s previous entry was last year’s hugely controversial mobile game, Diablo Immortal, which was universally maligned by fans for its egregious use of microtransactions, despite its core gameplay generally being well-received.

Diablo 4 will also be releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on the same day, with four days of early access being available for those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition.
