Upon landing on a moon in this co-op horror game, you’ll notice a pop-up explaining the hazard level. But what do the hazard levels even mean in Lethal Company?

Depending on how dangerous it could be to risk making your quota, you may not want to choose certain moons. But the riskier the moon, the better the loot, right? Let’s talk about what the hazard levels mean.

Lethal Company: All hazard levels, explained

Knowing the hazard level before you dive in for collecting scrap can be a very good idea. The hazard levels in Lethal Company dictate how difficult the creatures will be, or even how many enemies you may see. There are seven hazard levels in total.

Hazard level safe

There is only one place in Lethal Company that has this level, and it’s the company building. If you head to the company building on Gordion, you’ll know for sure that you should be entirely safe…right? Just don’t spam the bell.

Hazard level D

This is the lowest hazard level in the game besides safe, which should explain in itself how difficult your journey will be here. If you head to the moon Assurance, you’ll get this hazard level, and it’s one of the free moons. You may get a few tiny creatures here like Hoarding Bugs.

Hazard level C

Next up is level C, which you’ll get on the moon Vow. This is a little bit of a higher difficulty with tougher enemies like Spore Lizards. With higher hazard levels also come better facilities for collecting scrap, but still be cautious on this moon.

Hazard level B

Offense, March, and Experimentation all have this hazard level. At level B, things start to really ramp up. Experimentation is probably the better of the bunch, since Offense and March both offer pretty intermediate-level monsters. You may find Forest Keepers and Circuit Bee beehives here.

Hazard level A

We’re now getting to some really scary hazard levels. You’ll find Level A on Rend, which is one of three moons you must pay for. You’ll find a lot more dangerous wildlife outside of the facility, and you don’t want to even know what’s inside.

Hazard level S

When exploring Dine, another costly moon, you’ll get to the second toughest hazard level. Make sure you have enough players on this planet to survive and thrive. Like Rend, Dine is extremely foggy and windy, making it difficult to traverse.

Hazard level S+

You’ll find the scariest and toughest of all the enemies on Titan, which has hazard level S+. This is where you’ll spot monsters like Ghost Girl, Bracken, Coil Head, and the like. Beware of this planet, because death is likely at your doorstep. But imagine the loot you can find inside…
