Since the Zombie mode in Modern Warfare 3 has changed, meaning instead of wave-based combat, you’ll be dealing with them on an open-world map. This adds more challenges which could make things harder. So it makes sense to get help for everything and anything. One of the things that can assist you is Aether Tool rarities, and we’ll show you how to get and use all of them in Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ).
Like Acquisitions, these are one-time-use items that can make your weapon even stronger. It starts at the basic level, then as you upgrade it goes all the way to Epic. Every time you make the weapon better, there are more bonuses you can get. But you need to successfully escape, or everything you have will be left behind.
How to get Aether Tools
Coming across these items can be done in a few ways. You can find them by completing challenges and missions, loot caches, or you can find them as rewards. However, these methods aren’t guaranteed to drop the Aether Tools, so you’ll need it’ll be up to chance when they land.
For a surefire way, you can earn them from completing certain missions in Modern Warfare Zombies. It seems like the reward for the fifth mission in the first act will drop an Aether Tool
Another way to get these tools is by finding schematics for them in the world. Once you do, exfil, and then craft one. This way, you’ll have a head start because you already have an Aether Tool as soon as you drop in. However, the schematics are pretty rare, you might have to search the entire map for one.
Using Aether Tools
Using these tools is much easier than finding or crafting them. You just have to open up your Rucksack and navigate to the Aether Tool. Press it and it’ll automatically go on the weapon. Once you do, the color will change depending on the rarity, this way you’ll know the weapon has been upgraded.
I also recommend using Pack a Punch on your weapon. The damage will increase by tenfold, making Modern Warfare Zombies easier to play.
