Emmerdale exit as Wendy Posner drops heartbreaking clue she’ll leave Bob | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have watched as Wendy Posner (played by Susan Cookson) has grown closer to Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).

The pair locked lips as they bonded over their shared love of a murder mystery with Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) none the wiser about their affair.

In Tuesday night’s episode, the lie seemed to be eating away at Wendy as she organised a day with Bob to reconnect.

The pair went bird watching before Bob booked a romantic meal at The Hide as he believed they were back on track.

However, it seems the day made Wendy realise she wanted more as she questioned their relationship.

As Bob nipped off to the bathroom to wash his hands, Victoria approached the table with the couple’s meal.

Wendy was staring off into the distance, leaving to Victoria asking: “Wendy, are you okay?”

“Have you ever woken up one day and realised maybe there’s more to life than this?” Wendy asked.

Victoria replied: “Sorry, what?” as the medical practitioner continued: “Sorry, it’s the wine talking.”

Bob returned from the bathroom to make a toast to a “lovely day” with his partner but Wendy seemed far from happy.

Has Wendy realised she’d not happy in her relationship with Bob and wants to pursue things with Liam?

Wendy has made it clear to Liam she can’t sneak around behind Bob’s back so she may break things off with the B&B owner first.

However there is always the possibility Wendy doesn’t want to be stuck in the village with a man she barely knows.

Her short-lived affair with Liam may be just what Wendy needed to realise she wanted to pursue other passions and she could pack her bags and leave the village.

Bob would no doubt be devastated by the news of the affair and Wendy’s decision to leave.

However, long-time ITV viewers will know Bob is never single for long and he could be set to move on with Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles).

The pair have already shared a kiss after Bernice made a move on Bob a few weeks ago so it could be they will become more romantically involved.

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV from 7.30pm.
